Burglary of an Occupied Residence
January 13, 2016
The Middlesex Borough Police Department is investigating a burglary of an occupied residence that occurred on January 12, 2016 at 0342 hours.
Two black males threw a brick through the rear window of the victim`s residence and made entry while the elderly victim was asleep. Suspect 1 was described as a thin to medium build, short black male, wearing a brown hooded jacket with a fur lined hood, dark gloves, and a ski mask. The victim stated that the only exposed skin was around suspect 1`s eyes and mouth. Suspect 2 was described as a thin build, short black male, wearing a black hooded jacket with a fur lined hood, dark gloves and a ski mask. The victim stated that the only exposed skin was around suspect 2`s eyes and mouth. The two suspects stole the victim`s 2013 four door silver Acura TL(See the below photograph) using the victim`s keys. A second vehicle was scene parked across the street from the victim`s residence, described as a small dark sedan. Any agency with information please contact Det. September 8, 2015 Rite Aid Pharmacy 416 Rt. 1, Edison New Jersey
Two suspects described as Hispanic males who threatened to use a weapon. Taken was five bottles of Promethazine with Codeine which is used to make a narcotic drink called, “Learn” The suspects fled on foot.
October 28, 2015 Ultracare Pharmacy 272 George Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Two Hispanic males entered the store shouting this is a robbery. The suspects demanded medication and placed several types into a bag. The employees said that the suspects entered the store earlier in the day asking about nausea medication.
October 29, 2015 Stelton Pharmacy, Piscataway New Jersey. One male suspect displayed a weapon. The suspect was described as either an Asian or Hispanic male.
November 27, 2015 the Edison Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 1199 Amboy Avenue was also robbed.
December 1, 2015 CVS Pharmacy Rt. 27 and New Road, South Brunswick, New Jersey Two suspects walked in. One suspect motioned as if he had a weapon in his pocket. The suspects demanded Promethazine with Codeine. Suspects left in a black Honda Civic.

BANK ROBBERY IN OLD BRIDGE, NEW JERSEY

STATUS: SOLVEDOn Wednesday 04/29/2015 at approximately 12:53 P.M. a male entered the Chase Bank branch located on Bushnell Road in Old Bridge and demanded money from the teller. The suspect received an undetermined amount of cash then exited the bank.
The suspect appeared to be between 40 and 50 years of age. He stood approximately 6’1”- 6’2” tall. The suspect had a tan complexion and an unshaven black and grey beard. He was wearing a black and red Baltimore Orioles baseball cap and a blue or grey Adidas hooded sweatshirt, black fabric gloves with white and orange accents, blue jeans and sneakers.

THE EDISON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING TWO RECENT BANK ROBBERIES THAT OCCURRED IN THE MONTH OF MARCH.
On Tuesday March 17, 2015 a suspect entered the TD Bank located at 2064 Oak Tree Road and approached the teller counter area and where he took a complimentary lollipop. The suspect then went to a customer counter at the rear of the bank where the deposit/withdrawl slips are kept and wrote a note demanding money. The suspect waited in line and handed the note to a bank teller. The suspect only uttered the word "large" in what the teller described as a deep, raspy voice. The suspect handed the teller a bag in which she placed the money in and handed back to the suspect. The suspect then exited the bank and walked left in the direction of Grove Avenue.
The suspect description is as follows: African American male with a dark complexion, approximate height between 5-8 and 5-10, heavy build, approximate age mid to late 30`s, facial stubble with some greywearing a grey baseball hat with black brim and a black logo, "OBEY", with clear construction-style safety glasses, black leather jacket with a grey shirt underneath, a neon yellow safety vest similar to those used by construction workers, baggy light color denim jeans, black heavy-duty rubber gloves and black sneakers with white soles.
On March 31, 2015 at 2:50PM a suspect entered the Magyar Savings Bank in North Edison gave a demand note to the teller. The teller complied with the robbery demand and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of various US currency including $2 bills. The suspect fled in an unknown direction on foot. No weapon was shown although the suspect did threaten to shoot the teller if she failed to comply with his demand.
The suspect is described as an African American male, dark complexion, approximately 5` 7" to 5` 9" tall, stocky to average build between 170-180 lbs, short hair, unshaven, wearing a navy blue baseball style hat with an unknown logo on the front, navy blue Dickie style work pants, navy blue jacket with a gray in color collar with red and silver reflective piping around the biceps, black in color work boots approximately 35-45 years old and was not wearing glasses. The clothing the suspect was wearing was described by employees in the bank as looking like a deliveryman for FedEx or another service.
On April 9, 2015 at 3:56PM the above subject entered the Investors Saving Bank located at 205 North Washington Ave in Dunellen. The suspect handed the teller a deposit slip demanding money. The bank teller complied with the robbery demand and handed an undetermined amount of money. The suspect then fled out of the bank and North on North Washington Ave. No vehicle description was given.
Suspect description Black Male, dark complexion, approx 5`-8" to 5`-10"., tall stocky build, unshaven, wearing a black baseball hat and red sweater.
HELP SOLVE A SERIES OF MULTI STATE ARMED ROBBERIES

STATUS: ARRESTEDWith the assistance and cooperation of Bayonne PD Detective Bureau and Queens NY Robbery Squad the following information has been developed concerning an individual responsible for committing several armed robberies:
The suspect pictured below has committed multiple robberies in New Jersey and New York and is working with other unidentified suspects. They are to be considered armed and dangerous. In some of the cases the victims have been bound and in some cases the victims were beaten by the suspect. Several days prior to the robberies the suspect(s) have cased the location that was eventually robbed. There were two armed robberies to travel agencies in Queens New York in November of 2014 Bayonne New Jersey had a Bank Robbery on 12/24/2014. Woodbridge New Jersey had a Robbery of a check cashing business on 11/16/2014 where the employee was bound and the suspect attempted to access the safe. Woodbridge Police also investigated a Jewelry Store Robbery on January 14, 2015 involving two suspects. The vehicle used in the Woodbridge jewelry store case was possibly a newer mid sized car dark in color.

HELP SOLVE A HOME INVASION IN OLD BRIDGE

STATUS: ARRESTEDFifth home invasion investigated
Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief William Volkert of the Old Bridge Police Department announced today that police are investigating a home invasion in the township.
Police were called after an undisclosed number of men entered the home in Old Bridge, restrained family members, searched the home and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry on November 29, 2014.
Police were alerted to the home invasion at 8:51 p.m. The victims reported that armed individuals entered and searched the home at 7:20 p.m.
The home invasion was the fifth in the county in which the victims were of Asian Indian descent. Prior home invasions were committed in Old Bridge on October 20, 2014 and October 26, 2014, in South Plainfield on October 28, 2014, and in Edison on October 30, 2014..
No arrests have been made, but an investigation is active and is continuing with assistance from the New Jersey State Police, the FBI and the Edison, South Plainfield and Old Bridge police departments.
Prosecutor Carey advised residents to be vigilant, watch neighbors’ homes and call police regarding any suspicious activity. He also advised residents to make certain their homes are secure.

The Old Bridge Police Department is investigating two home invasion robberies that occurred in their township. One occurred on October 20th, 2014 and the second occurred on October 26th, 2014.
The robberies occurred in the Oakwood and Country Place sections of Old Bridge Township. During the late evening hours multiple suspects with handguns forced entry into the homes and demanded the residents provide cash and electronics.
The South Plainfield Police Department is investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on 10/28/2014 in the early evening hours. The suspects entered the rear door of the house and robbed a family. The residence was on a corner lot in the township. The suspects were described by the victim`s as two black males, one tall and one short.
The Old Bridge Police Department, the South Plainfield Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor`s Office are conducting an aggressive investigation into these crimes. HELP SOLVE A BANK ROBBERY AT THE COLUMBIA BANK IN EDISON

STATUS: IN CUSTODYOn 9/20/14 (Saturday) at approximately 9:05 AM a suspect entered the Columbia Bank located on Talmadge Rd. in Edison. He demanded money from the tellers. The suspect took money from three tellers and fled in an unknown direction. No vehicle description available.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30`s, between 6` to 6`-4" tall, receding hairline, athletic build, wearing goggles with dark sunglasses under the goggles/ mask covering the eyes with breathing holes or slots in the mouth area resembling a paintball mask, black or dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, white gloves on top with the palms black in color.

Paintball Bandit Sought by the FBI
Newark – The Newark FBI and Edison Police Department are asking for the public`s help identifying the individual responsible for the bank robbery of the Columbia Bank at 245 Talmadge Road, Edison, New Jersey, on Saturday, September 20, 2014. At approximately 9:06 a.m., the suspect entered the bank and verbally demanded money. He then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6’4" tall, athletic build, wearing a paintball style mask, dark clothing, and white gloves.
It is believed this same individual may have robbed 5 additional banks in Somerset and Middlesex Counties.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for any information leading to the identification and arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 973-792-3000. All calls are kept confidential.
TD Bank Robbery in Monroe Township Middlesex County

STATUS: IN CUSTODYOn Thursday July 10, 2014 at 8:47am the Monroe Township Police Department responded to the TD Bank located at 162 Prospect Plains Road for a reported Hold Up/Robbery.
A white male subject described as being 5’6” tall with a thin build and olive skin wearing a dark colored baseball cap baring the New York Jets logo, an orange t-shirt with the Carhart logo on the left breast pocket over top of a long sleeve dark shirt and dark sweat pants with white stripes along the legs entered the bank and approached the teller. He handed the teller a note and demanded money. The teller complied, and after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the subject fled the bank on foot heading west on Prospect Plains Road. No weapon shown.

The South Brunswick theft occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday June 7, 2014. The suspects entered a construction site at Route 1 and Executive Drive and stole a 2010 John Deere Front End Loader. The investigation indicates the suspects parked a trailer on Executive Drive and loaded the machinery on to it. (See attached photo of stolen equipment)
South Brunswick Police are working to identify the Exit 8A theft crew to see where the stolen items are being taken and if they are being shipped out of the country. The reward is being posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible. INFORMATION NEEDED ON PERSONS AIMING LASERS AT PLANES

There has been multiple incidents reported to law enforcement in Middlesex Countya as well as over the nation concering unknown persons pointing lasers at commercial aircraft.
The FBI is offering a $10,000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest of anyone who aims a hand held laser at an airplane.
Excerpt form the NJ.Com article posted June 3, 2014:
"It`s part of a national awareness program being run by the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration in conjunction with state and local officials to make the public aware of the dangers associated with pointing a laser light at a pilot.
The reward will be available for the next 90 days, the FBI said.
In northern New Jersey airspace, there have been 26 reported laser incidents in 2014 as of May 15, said Barbara Woodruff, a spokeswoman for the FBI`s Newark office.
The actual number is likely much higher, she emphasized, noting that media, rescue and law enforcement helicopters are common targets.

RECENT RASH OF RECENT BURGLARIES IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY

Middlesex County Crime Stoppers in conjunction with several localPolice Department are seeking information into a recent series of residential burglaries.
The South Brunswick Police Department is investigating a residential burglary which occurred sometime between 12:30PM and 4:30PM on Friday May 9, 2014. The residence is in the Royal Oaks apartment complex which is in close proximity to Route 1. It should also be noted that the victim is of Asian descent. The suspect(s) entered through the front door, which was believed to have been locked, and ransacked the entire residence.
Plainsboro Township Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2014 between 1200Hrs and 2240Hrs.The victims were of Pakistani decent. The victims were attending a wedding on Long Island during the time of the burglary. The suspect(s) tampered with four ground floor windows before prying out an entire window (frame intact) and making entry. The residence was ransacked.
On Tuesday May 13, 2014 the Cranbury Police responded to a residential burglary located on Orchardside Drive along the border with South Brunswick Twp. Orchardside Drive is located off Dey Road, approximately 2 miles off US Route 130. Area is extremely rural; home in heavily treed location. Burglary occurred sometime between 1000 and 1530 hours.
On May 13, 2014 at 0630 hours, the Plainsboro Police Department responded to a burglary that occurred to a residence between 0230 hours and 0630 hours, while the homeowners and their child were sleeping upstairs. The actor(s) made entry through an unlocked door at the rear of the residence.
The East Brunswick Police Department is investigating a Burglary that occurred on 04/17/14. Forced entry was made through the rear kitchen window. In addition, a chair was used to help enter the residence through the kitchen window. The interior was ransacked and a total value of $13,030.00 in 22 karat gold jewelry was taken from the bedroom closet.
The Edison Police Department has been experiencing similar burglaires in their township as well.

On Monday, 04/28/2014 at approximately 1:05 PM, the PNC Bank located at 361 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey was robbed by a White male, with a beard and mustache, 5`7"-5`10" tall, average build, wearing a blue jacket and two-tone baseball cap (blue or green and white with "A" emblem).
Woodbridge
- On Saturday March 22, 2014 a suspect walked into the Rahway Savings Bank in the Colonia Section of Woodbridge and haded the teller a note demanding money. The teller handed the suspect cash and the suspect then fled the bank on foot. This appears to be the same suspect involved in the below described robberies. The suspect is described as a white male, 5`10" tall, average build wearing a baseball cap with an "A" on the front..click on the links below for the most recent pictures.

-On Saturday 12/07/2013, the PNC Bank located at 45 South Martine Avenue in Fanwood, New Jersey was robbed by a White male, 5`7" tall, 200 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a red hat, black jacket, jeans, and a blue scarf.
Elizabeth
-On Wednesday, 10/30/2013, at approximately 4:00 PM, the Investors bank, located at 51 South Broad Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey was robbed by a White, male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5`4` to 5`5" tall, and 160 lbs. He had a medium build, full beard, and auburn/red hair. He wore a red baseball cap, a red t-shirt, black pants and carried a black backpack.

Rash of Residential Burglaries in East Brunswick

East Brunswick Police Department is reporting a significant amount of residential burglaries in two sections of the township. The two sections that have been heavily targeted are the River Road section near Old Bridge Turnpike in the southeast corner of town and Tices Lane section near Ryders Lane in the northern part of town. These burglaries are occurring in the late afternoon hours with entry made through rear windows & slider doors.
Residents are asked to safeguard their homes when they are leaving for periods of time. If you see any suspicious activities, please report them.
