HELP SOLVE A SERIES OF RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES

Middlesex County Crime Stoppers in conjunction with the South Brunswick Police Department is seeking information into a series of residential burglaries.

The burglary spree dates back to December of 2013 and involves more than a dozen break-ins in the Kendall Park section of the Township. The suspects have targeted homes off Route 27 during the evening hours. The suspects would force entry through a window or sliding glass door, then steal jewelry from the home.

 Middlesex County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the capture and conviction of the suspects responsible for the burglaries.  From North Brunswick Police:

  The township continues to experience residential burglaries. Recent locations include Osage Road and Plains Gap Road. Entry is being made by prying open rear sliding doors and rear windows. Please call (732) 545-3200 (North Brunswick Police) immediately if you observe any suspicious activity. The North Brunswick Police Department has added extra patrols to all shifts in an attempt to thwart future burglaries and apprehend the suspects.

 

Similar burglaires have been occurring in South Brunswick and East Brunswick as well.  If you observe a burglary in progress call your local police department right away.  If you have any information concerning suspects please leave a tip.

Career Criminal Wanted for multiple burglaries in Woodbridge Township

Middlesex County Crime Stoppers needs your help in locating a career criminal wanted for two recent burglaries in Woodbridge Township

David Carroway age 52 was recently released by the New Jersey Department of Corrections after seving time for burglaries in several New Jersey counties.  The Woodbridge Police Department, while investigating recent burglaries, developed Carroway as a suspect and signed complaints against him for the crimes.

On July 1, 2013  Carroway entered a building located on Route 1 through an unlocked door and went to the cashiers office where he removed a safe containing cash and various paperwork. The suspect put the safe in the rear of a red SUV and fled.

Carroway is same suspect who committed a similar burglary at Majestic Lanes in Woodbridge on June 6, 2013. He was wearing the exact same shirt and clothing however was driving a gold colored sedan during that incident.

Carroway is 5`8" tall, approximately 230 lbs and has salt and pepper hair.

New Brunswick Shooting - $1000 Reward
June 15, 2013

Police are looking for two men, wearing ski masks — one armed with a handgun — who robbed a 19-year-old city man of his cellphone, then shot him in the buttocks.

According to police, Saturday morning, a 19-year-old city man was robbed on Fulton Street near Rutgers Street.

At about 2:30 a.m., two men wearing ski masks approached the 19-year-old city man on the street and demanded money.

The victim handed over his cellphone to the robbers and was shot once, police said.

The robbers fled on foot and the city man was treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the nonlife-threatening injury.

New Brunswick Man Shot in Chest - $1000 Reward
June 09, 2013

A 25-year-old city man was in stable but serious condition Monday morning following a shooting Sunday on Baldwin Street, police said.

Joel Gonzalez was shot in the chest about 1 a.m. on the street near a home where he’d attended a party, said New Brunswick police Capt. J.T. Miller.

“A preliminary police investigation suggests that Mr. Gonzalez was inside 150 Baldwin Street attending a party prior to the shooting,” Miller said in a report.

“During the party, Mr. Gonzalez became involved in some sort of altercation with other individuals who were also attending the party,” the report states.

When Gonzalez left the party, the altercation continued in the street and Gonzalez was shot in the chest, police said.

Gonzalez was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

“Police are actively investigating the motive behind the altercation and the identities of the suspects involved,” Miller said.

RESIDENTIAL ARSON IN MONROE TOWNSHIP
May 20, 2013

STATUS: APPREHENDED
Authorities in Middlesex County are offering a cash reward for information on a house fire this morning they believe was deliberately set.

The blaze in the two-story colonial broke out just before 4 a.m., police said. Though firefighters brought the blaze at the home on Arlene Drive under control within 15 minutes, flames had already caused extensive damage, Monroe police said in a news release.

A 24-year veteran of the Edison Police Department, and his family were not hurt in what officials called a "horrific, cowardly act," but the attack left police leaders shaken and angered.

The New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the attack, and the Middlesex Prosecutor’s Office is spearheading an investigation into the suspected arson.

By this afternoon officials had declared the fire an arson. The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said the blaze was intentionally set, but did not release information on the origin and ignition of the fire.

WELLS FARGO BANK ROBBERY IN MIDDLESEX BOROUGH

On Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at approximately 1006 Hrs. the Wells Fargo Bank, 444 Union Avenue was robbed by two males who committed a takeover style bank robbery. The two suspects are described as white males with similar average builds, approximately 5`10" in height.

One actor displayed an AK-47 rifle and the other actor utilized a long gun described as a possible shotgun. The tellers and patrons were ordered to the ground and all told to relinquish their cell phones which were placed in a dark colored bag. The bag and cell phones were later recovered outside the bank. They were described as wearing dark colored clothing and tactical pants. The upper portion of their bodies were covered in dark clothing including dark colored masks.

Statements obtained identified at least one of the actors as wearing a tactical vest or something similar to an air soft equipment vest and a dark colored plastic or composite face shield underneath his mask. No vehicle description was observed.

HELP SOLVE TWO RECENT WAWA ROBBERIES IN OLD BRIDGE

     The Old Bridge Police Department is investigating the robberies of two separate Wawa`s within their jurisdiction. The first occurred at 6:56 P.M. on 2/10/13 at the Wawa on Englishtown Rd. & Texas Rd. The second robbery occurred at 8:53 P.M. on 2/13/13 at the Wawa on Rt. 18 & Maple St. It is unknown at this time if the robberies were committed by the same suspect. The descriptions, however, are very similar. The subject in both robberies is described as a white male, 20`s, 5`6"-5`7" tall, and skinny.

At the Rt. 18 incident, the subject was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue skinny jeans. The hood was pulled over his head so hair color and length is unknown.

At the Englishtown Rd. incident, the subject is wearing a blue jacket, grey skinny jeans, and a grey skull cap. He is also said to have longer, skater style, dark brown hair and gauges in his ears. If you have any information please submit a tip to this site.

WANTED FOR HOMICIDE IN NEW BRUNSWICK

THE MIDDLESEX COUNTY PROSECUTORS OFFICE AND THE NEW BRUNSWICK POLICE DEPARTMENT ARE SEEKING YOUR HELP IN APPREHENDING TWO PERSONS WANTED FOR THE MURDER OF JOSHUA ZHOU IN THE CITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK

     On September 27, 2012 the New Brunswick Police Department were called to a residence concerning a report of gun shots.  When police arrived they found the victim, Joshua Zhou age 19, in the basement of the residence.  Zhou had been shot in the chest and died as a result of the  gunshot wound.   An extensive police investigation led to the arrest of three of the five persons involved in the Murder. 

The Middlesex County Prosecutors Office and the New Brunswick Police are actively searching for Michael Bailey age 20 and Zaid Joseph age 20, who are both charged with Felony Murder.

GRAFITTI TO THE 9/11 MEMORIAL IN MIDDLESEX BOROUGH

On Tuesday July 24, 2012 patrol officers from Middlesex Boruogh discovered damage to the 9/11 Memorial in Victor Crowell Park.  Unknown person(s) wrote, "HOAX" on the base of the concrete block ind placed three pieces of swimming noodles together to mimic dynamite,  This memorial was also targeted on June 22, 2012.  a similar act of vandalism also occurred in North Brunswick.  If you have any information submit a tip to this site.

BANK ROBBERY WITH A HANDGUN
July 19, 2012

The Middlesex Borough Police Department and the FBI are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred on Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11:55AM at the Unity Bank on Bound Brook Road.

     An individual entered the bank carrying a small revolver and demanded money.  The suspect is described as a black male, dark complexion, approximately 30-40 years old, 5`8" tall, medium build wearing a tan or brown hooded sweatshirt, a black paisly print bandana covering his face, blue jeans, white gloves and white sneakers.  This suspect appears to be the same person involved in the Metuchen bank robbery on 6/20/2012.  If you have any questions report a tip.

Edison Provident Bank Robbery
June 29, 2012

 

On 6/29/12 at approximately 1030 hours, the above pictured suspect entered The Provident Bank located at 980 Amboy Avenue and passed a note asking the teller to fill a bank envelope with cash.  After waiting for the teller to fill the envelope, the suspect was spooked and exited the bank without receiving any proceeds.

The suspect was observed on video walking across Amboy Avenue from Liddle Avenue.  After exiting the bank, the above pictured 2 door vehicle was observed on camera exiting Liddle Avenue onto Amboy Avenue towards Metuchen.

Suspect is described as a white male, possible Hispanic with dirty blonde curly hair sticking out of his tan baseball cap.  Supsect was wearing a long sleeve button down white dress shirt, tan pants, dark shoes or sneakers, and sunglasses.  Suspect is described as being approixmately 5`5" tall, 140 lbs, and in his early to mid 20`s.

Metuchen Bank Robbery - "Bandana Bandit"

SUSPECT HAS BEEN APPREHENDED

The Fulton Bank located at 700 Middlesex Ave in Metuchen, NJ was robbed on Wednesday, 6/20/12 at 11:17am by a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.  The suspect was wearing a black bandana and white gloves, carrying a snub-nosed revolver and a black bag.  The possible getaway car is a Silver VW Passat Station wagon.

This suspect is a possible serial bank robber, connected to five other bank robberies in Franklin Twp, Somerville, Piscataway, and Clifton.  The suspect is a black male between 5’10 and 6ft tall, 30-40 years old but possibly older.  The male wears a black or grey hooded sweatshirt, white gloves, and a bandana over his face.  The suspect climbs the counter and robs multiple teller stations.

EDISON POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Photo of a suspect wanted in connection with the May 31 armed robbery at Amboy Express gas station, 1000 Amboy Ave., Edison.

EDISONPolice are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a May 31 armed robbery at a gas station.

At 6:46 a.m. May 31, the Edison Police Department received a telephone call regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Amboy Express gas station, 1000 Amboy Ave., police said.

The unknown suspect, who was seen in the area lingering for about one hour prior to the incident, displayed the receiver portion of a handgun and demanded money from the attendant. After the attendant complied with the suspect’s demands, the suspect fled on foot toward 5th Street in Edison and out of sight, police said.

BANK ROBBERY IN OLD BRIDGE BY THE SAME SUSPECT
May 15, 2012

STATUS: CLOSED

     On Wednesday May 9, 2012 at 2:16PM a male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with Adidas on the front, jeans, tan shoes and a dark baseball hat with a flat brim that had a bright label on it entered the TD Bank TD located at 3024 Route 516.   Survelliance video shows the suspect enter the bank and approach the counter.  He then fled out the same door. 

     The suspects is the same person who robbed the Chase Bank in Old Bridge on April 12, 2012 and the same Chase Bank on October of 2011(Both crimes are posted in Crimestoppers previously as a "Crime of the Week")

New Brunswick Homicide outside Los Amigos Tavern

Los Amigos Tavern

A fatal shooting incident occurred in the early morning hours outside Los Amigos Tavern at the corner of Remsen Avenue and Hale Street, 142 Remsen Avenue.

Olvera-Mondragon was in a verbal argument in the bar just prior to the shooting.  Police received a call to the scene at 1:49 a.m.  Javier Olvera-Mondragon, 25, was pronounced dead at 2:02 a.m, shortly after exiting Los Amigos.

Old Bridge Bank Robbery
April 12, 2012

STATUS: CLOSED

On 4-12-12 The Chase Bank Branch located at 20 Bushnell Road Old Bridge, New Jersey was robbed by a white male suspect. Suspect is described as late 30s, 6`2", 210lbs, wearing a Black Yankees cap, Grey Adidas hoodie, and tan garden like gloves.

Suspect passed a note which read give me all your money and nobody will get hurt, suspect then asked for the note back. After obtaining money from the first teller, suspect then took the note and moved over to the next teller.

When the second teller didn`t give up enough money the suspect asked for more. Suspect then took the note and left the bank in a white suv which had duct tape covering the plate. Both tellers advised that the suspect would put his left hand inside the hoodie front pocket, and that the suspect spoke in a calm voice with no accent.   

 It is beleived the same actor robbed this branch on October 26, 2011 at 11:01AM of 2011. The suspect description is similar and he also wore a New York Yankees baseball hat.

BANK ROBBERY IN PISCATAWAY
February 27, 2012

 

UNIDENTIFIED SUSPECT 

             On February 27, 2012, The Provident Savings Bank on 100 Stelton Road was robbed . This was a takeover style bank robbery with a single suspect brandishing a small black colored revolver. The suspect climbed over the counter and had the tellers place money into a tan colored canvass shopping bag. The suspect was described as a black male, 5`10``, thin build, 38-45 years of age. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a red bandana covering his face.

              The suspect left the rear of the bank on foot and was seen getting picked up by a white compact vehicle several blocks from the bank. Any agency with information can contact Det. Dean Petrillo at 732-562-2362.
